  1. Harborside Lobstermania in East Greenwich (now Finn’s)

  2. Aunt Carrie’s, Point Judith; the Lobster Pot, Bristol

  3. Sally – you need to add Flo’s clam shack in Newport RI. It’s been in operation since 1936. Great location near Easton’s beach.

  4. St. Clair’s Annex in Watch Hill,

  5. Quito’s in Bristol, RI

  6. Red’s Eats in Wiscasset, Maine – hands down the best! Bay Street deli is “ok”, Marchetti’s gives you a lot for your money…but the best is certainly at Red’s Eats.

  7. Matunuck Oyster Bar in East Matunuck…the BEST in New England…I have a side of the beet & goat cheese salad instead of the fries….

  8. Marchetti’s in Cranston. You will not find a bigger lobster roll on the planet!! I swear it has to be almost 1 1/2 ilbs of lobster meat. It has a mayo hint to it ever so slight and a Rhode Island “grinder roll.” Your search is over !!!

  9. I suggest you try Champlin’s in Point Judith. Freshest in the state.

  10. I second Marchetti’s in Cranston.

Two Little Fish in Westerly has moved. They used to be a Lenny and Joe’s but broke away from franchise to do their own thing. They have a very nice CT style hot butter lobster roll. New Location is across the street from Misquamicut State Beach, 300 Atlantic Avenue, Misquamicut, RI open May-September. Eat in, deck dining or take-out with paved parking.

Legendary dining is the word to describe the following, Twin Oaks Restaurant, 100 Sabra St., Cranston, RI off of Reservoir Ave. (RT-2). They open at 11 am and if you are at the door you can walk in and seat yourself at any table to be waited on. Dally around or be late and you will pay with a wait up to 1 ½ hr. (if you do not have reservations) for maitre de seating. They serve a very large cold lobster salad roll, you can also get a lobster salad plate mound with veggies or ask the waiter for the “not listed lobster salad plate with no lettuce” which I have to ask for a take home “Doggie bag” because I’ve yet to be able to finish the plate.

The Warf Tavern, 215 Water Street, Warren, RI. They have a very good lobster roll for lunch and dinner.

I would suggest you stay out of Newport, RI unless you have “Big Pockets” for dining. Lunch for two on the waterfront cost me over $100 for two lobster roll lunch meals and two drinks plus no validated parking in front of restaurant which cost an additional $20.

  11. Marchetti’s in Cranston. It’s an Italian restaurant, but they have a legendary huge lobster roll for only $16.95 w/fries!

  12. Definitely check out the Bay Street Deli in Watch Hill.
