Real hole in the wall place, if I didn’t know about it, it’s definitely not a place you would stumble over. In a residential neighborhood, I think it is a converted house and not well marked. Anyway, once you find it, it’s a real find. Very sparse, just an outside picnic table. The lobster roll is really a lobster sandwich, but no matter. I am generally not a fan of the sandwich style roll, the bread to meat ratio is usually off and just…why? This bread was actually a tasty, bakery fresh bread that really seemed to add flavor. The meat was particularly flavorful, chunks of tail and claw with no spongies. Oddly, and maybe a first, the meat was cold and lightly mayoed, but the inside of the bread was buttered, all meltylishous. Definitely inovative and a winning combination! While I didn’t make it to Neptune Oyster on this trip, despite several trys, (crazy crowded) I’ll say this one could be best of Boston… By the way, much better rolls in boston than the junk they serve on the cape.
