Had high hopes for this place, very well reviewed and popular. It was the biggest disappointment of this trip. First, the meat was absolutely slathered in mayo, by the time I gave up on the roll and started just picking out the good chunks, I had to really wipe off the gobs of mayo, yuck. I actually don’t like mayo at all, I’ll tolerate a small anount to make things stick together, but anymore ruins it. Second, it had celery, kind of an instant eliminator. Ken said he found a few pieces of shell. Next, it had a ton of paprika sprinkled on top, blah. The roll was grilled, no butter, but more like on a grilled swordfish kind of grill with the cross marks than grilled cheese grill. Despite all of the flaws, the flavor of the meat did manage to be good. So, they must know how to cook good lobster meat, they just manage to kill it with all that stuff. Tail, claw, no spongies. I might be back for a straight lobster, but I doubt it. View wasn’t very good and the ambiance was more tourist trap than anything. Parking is $10 for a $19 roll. $30 poorly spent, but lesson learned.
